Limited dura-ace special edition of their ultimate road competition shoe.
Technologies
SPD-SL –Â SPD-SL is the road specific refinement of the system. This pedal platform was designed specifically for the needs of world-class road racers. The seamless pedal and cleat interface for a more efficient power transfer under the extreme pedaling loads encountered in race competitions.
Shimano Dynalast –Â The toe-spring section of a cycling shoe plays a key role in supporting efficient pedaling. Too high, and it causes increased tension in the plantar, calf, and hamstring muscles. Too low, and you get a bowlegged, inefficient pedaling form. Extensive research by Shimano’s R&D experts has produced a superior shoe last design with an optimised toe-spring section that promotes a smoother, more energy-efficient upstroke. Built based on feedback from pro riders, Shimano Dynalast helps reduce energy loss on long rides, letting you keep more in the tank for that final sprint to the line.
Expanded Cleat-Adjustment Range –Â Set the initial cleat position according to the difference between shoe size and measured arch length. If the arch length is longer or shorter than the shoe size, the cleat maybe positioned fore or aft from the center line of the cleat range of the shoe by the difference of the scale.
*For example, if the right shoe size is 43 and the arch length measurement is 44, the cleat should be positioned (distance A) forward, toward the toe end, from the cleat range center line of the shoe sole.
RC902 – S-PHYRE and DURA-ACE have always been built to complement each other’s strengths. Now all of their hidden synergy is beautifully reflected in this ultra-limited shoe’s appearance. This special edition of the S-PHYRE RC902 comes loaded with all the same technologies and comfort, but with previously unseen levels of design. These rich details and visual enhancements will make this shoe a collector’s item you won’t be able to keep in its box.
Upper Technology – The construction of their uppers and closure systems are customised to the characteristics of each rider’s foot. Their Surround Wrapping Upper surrounds the whole foot with a seamless piece of leather, which creates a better fit with fewer gaps between shoes and feet.
